In different cultures and situations, sticking your tongue out may mean something different. For example, Maori warriors do it to scare their enemies and demonstrate that they are not afraid. Meanwhile Tibetan people stick out their tongues as a sign of respect for one another.

But what does the person in this work intend? Is it being rude, is it teasing or disgusted—or just cute?

Sticking Out Tongue no.1 is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag, 320 gsm paper. This museum quality paper guarantees bright colours, deep blacks, excellent contrast and is highly resistant to ageing.
